DARRELL A. BROWNING
Colonel, U. S. Marine Corps (Retired)

 

In October of 2005, Colonel Browning was selected as the Vice President for Student Affairs and Business Operations for Marine Corps University. Immediately following his retirement from active service in 2001, he entered the private business sector as President and Chief Executive Officer of ERA-Weeks and Browning Realty, Inc. located in Montgomery Alabama In this capacity he also served on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery Area Association of REALTORS® and is a graduate of the Alabama Association of REALTORS® Leadership Class 2003.

 

Colonel Browning holds a Bachelor and Masters degree from Troy University in accounting and management science. He was commissioned in 1971 and designated a Naval Aviator in 1972. He is a graduate of the Marine Corps’ Amphibious Warfare School, Command and Staff College and The Marine Corps War College.

 

During his 30 years of military service, Colonel Browning held a variety of aviation command and staff assignments to include command of Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 162 and Marine Aircraft Group 26. In addition, he served as a military faculty member at Command and Staff and the Director of its Warfighting Department. He is the founding Director of the College of Continuing Education and served for three years as the Director of Command and Staff College from 1998 until 2001.
