Marine Corps University Press engages thinkers from the academic, military, and policy realms on issues of national security and international relations.
Recent scholarly books and the university's academic journal include a study of Iran in the global context, the story of the al-Anbar “Awakening” from both Iraqi
and American perspectives, information on the cultural and historical background of Afghanistan, an analysis of the goals of the International Security
Assistance Force in Afghanistan, two books on cultural engagement by military forces, a reader on irregular warfare, and an article on the problems posed by
“feral cities” such as Mogadishu, Somalia.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Marine Corps University Press (MCU Press) welcomes submissions of journal-length articles (4,000-10,000 words) and full-length scholarly monographs. Manuscripts should be properly footnoted and formatted to follow the grammar, spelling, and punctuation guidelines found in the Chicago Manual of Style (16th edition). MCU Press publishes peer-reviewed works that engage in the most current conversations in international relations, geopolitics, national security, global environmental issues, and other topics that affect the academic, military, and policy realms.
